Why is auto top up not working? Spent the whole day without data because the old package expired and it didn't load a new one even though my auto-limit is set. Piss poor.
 
Second month running that my data doesn't refresh on the 1st of the month. Anyone else have this problem?

And with the holiday it might be Tuesday before Support sees my email. Unless Afrisomeone see this?!

Also, for some reason around the 25th of April I started really struggling to get 4G - I had been getting it ok, albeit with a weak signal, but my little Poynting was doing the trick. It did seem to coincide with me running out of data and then having to top up. I wonder if the router (B593) then connected to a different tower or something. Problem is with that router you can't see which cell you're connecting to.

Hi nicklear, I'm not aware of any general issues regarding data allocation. I got your PM and have responded, let's see if we can resolve this for you once and for all. :)

Not sure why this could have happened... How have you got auto topup set up?

Signed up with Afrihost on Saturday 30 April, just after my number porting went through from Vodacom to MTN. During the entire long weekend Afrihost was unable to get my service activated, only got it activated yesterday. Then I am still being prorata invoiced for 30 April, even if I had no Afrihost service and no prorata airtime and data was allocated to me for that 1 day.

Learned from this, do not sign up with Afrihost before the end of the month, or before/over a weekend.

Porting delays may have come in over the weekend though - I'll need to double check the account to make 100% sure though.

When signing up later on in the month the data/ voice allocation should roll over to the next month too.

Anyone else having problems with connection dropping every couple of minutes?

Edit: My phone is fine, so seems like it is only my afrihost mifi device.
Edit 2: Now my phone is also dead :(

It looks like there is an issue with our Afrihost APN, our Team is investigating now!

I reported it this morning. They responded about some BS about the APN being wrong, and it using the MTN APN. Checked the phone, and it was on Afrihost. The odd think was receiving SMS from MTN saying that my data had finished.

Please fix this
 
Dead in Randburg as well.

AH APN doesn't connect, MTN APN connects but there's no throughput...
