I have some family members that use AH mobile on MTN sims and the signal is just plain shoddy, Ive submitted 4 coverage queries to MTN this year but they just seem to ignore it, can AH intervene to get something done on MTN's side?

Can always try and have a query escalated for you, if the area's scheduled for upgrades I'm afraid our hands do become tied though.
Either way, drop me a PM with a ref# and I can chase things up.

Sorry to hear about the issues here.
Is the problem only present in one area or is it seen across the board?

We had an intermittant power problem the last week, so I had not been able to test my connection. After that was sorted I am able to focus on my Afrihost mobile problems. I have emailed support with my problem. There is packet loss between 0% and 10%. The connection is unstable.

I have also replaced the router with a brand new one, because I could not conclusively rule out the router I was using. The one I was using was maybe 18 months old. Possibly there is nothing wrong with it. Waiting for a reply from Afrihost Support...

Happy to take a look, is there a ref# I can check?

Great service!

Just got an auto email and SMS saying I hadn't connected via the Afrihost APN for a while, sure as bob my phone had reverted to MTN for some reason.

Thanks!

Getting strange sms from mtn.....

MTN's technical team has identified that you have the incorrect data settings on your device. To ensure stable data connectivity, please dial *123*13# to receive the correct Data settings. To get help call 1555

Checked my settings and working fine on afrihost.

I still receive an APN email notification every single morning. Doesn't really bother me so haven't followed up on it since we last spoke about the APN sms's.
