Afrihost Mobile Feedback Thread

I have the same problem. Connection failed. The profile is invalid. Please contact your service provider. I tried a hard reboot of my mifi and restarted my pc and browser. I've had afrihost for more than two years now and this has never happened. Please help :(

That's not cool! Could you DM me your account details quickly, and I'll try to see what's going on.
 
Morning. I have ported my prepaid Vodacom to MTN this weekend, seems like it went through successfully, I then bought the Afrihost Prepaid option, which it is now saying Waiting for activation since yesterday. Do I need to wait longer or do anything further? Thanks.

It shouldn't take longer than 24 hours for that to happen, has there been any updates since then?
 
Been cut off. Should have 100MB left but capped. Zane at helpdesk said download logs & they say I have 98Mb left. :(

Looks like AFrihost has their own ip address for mobile data too now. Before it was MTN ip addresses now I see it's a new range and resolves to airmobile.co.za :)

Indeed! :D Exciting times. We're still in the process of completing the updates, so you should see the IP listed as belonging to Afrihost soon.
 
I am impressed with the OOB setup. OOB for a maximum of 100mb was selected on the 500mb package. Usage was 39mb OOB and they will charge R3.90 for that.

That exactly the experience we want our clients to have. You can run over cap but still have control :)

In order to use AH Mobile Data, must I have a contract with MTN considering that I also want to use voice and Mifi router is out of the question? if yes, can I take out a R39 MTN Top Up contract and then get AH to provision it for their data? Or is the AH Mobile Data APN provision only available to specific MTN packages?

Are you specifically looking at a contract? If a month-to-month package could work for you, you should check out our Mobile Data with Voice packages HERE.

Each package includes airtime and data. :)
 
Hi @AfriGenie , I posted a few days ago about my new sign-up awaiting activation and all went well and is still well. I have another problem now, I did my partners phone as well, I followed the same steps as I did with mine, ported from Vodacom to MTN etc. and she is awaiting activation for a few days now (She can receive calls on the MTN network already). She has been in contact with your call centre which has escalated the problem to critical. MTN says its Afrihost and vice versa. Is there any chance we can get here activated today? Regards.

Afrihost mobile data works on a MTN prepaid simcard. :)

I certainly hope so!

:( Unfortunately I cannot say for sure. If the issue has been escalated to the Critical Care Team, they will do their best to ensure that the Voice package is active as quicky as possible.
