Does Afrihost Mobile support news server downloads? Seems like it does not work with mobile.

Mobile Data is completely unshaped, so there is no restriction from using it for NNTP or P2P. It's more likely to be a local network issue, maybe double check all your settings, especially any proxy or DNS settings that may affect this service

I have checked, and double checked. Still get the same error. I need a username and password

Connected. So yes I do think that MTN IP is not allowed access to the Afrihost news server

I just got confirmation that Afrihost excluded Mobile accounts from the news service. You can only use it from an ADSL account.

Looks like you will have to use a paid/slower News Server until Afrhost includes the mobile accounts.

I am currently using the free XS Usenet (www.xsusenet.com) account and it seems to be working 100%
