So I was able to switch between the 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz band but still no luck. I really think this is an issue on MTN’s side to be honest :/

I don't think so.
The SIM works fine in your phone, but not the router. I believe it is the router.
Don't you have the Afrihost router? Or another router that is on the list?

I didn’t get the Afrihost router but I got a TP link archer mr600 (the same one Afrihost provides) and its giving the same issue.
That is strange altogether. Why will it work in a phone but not a router.
Did the phone work when you tested it?

Exactly what I’m thinking. I thought it was my router but as soon as it wasn’t working in the tp link I wondered what the hell.That is strange altogether. Why will it work in a phone but not a router.
Only reason why I got this package is because I am awaiting fibre in my area (about 8 weeks) and our last 2 tb lte package from hellkom was so slow I couldn’t even send WhatsApp messages for days.

Yep, ran multiple speed tests. In fact under my clientzone account usage all that data usage was performed on phones only

I see it's locked now due to being placed in a phone. I requested the unlock.
Can you leave it on the router. Network and bands all on Auto. Leave it powered on and you should see 3G signal because it's locked. Unlocking takes about an hour or 2

yes that doesn't make a difference as long as you don't force 4G only. It needs to be Auto.

Okay let’s me do that. On another note, even when I leave the password field blank in the APN settings and save it, it keeps putting something into the password field. Is this normal?

Can you change it to 3G only and see if that works
I bough the router years ago from takealot, it’s unlocked. It works with Telkom and Vodacom just fine.
Here are my current APN settings
Here is a setting saying Auto select network. Can you disable that. Make sure that you don't have any leading or trailing spaces on the APN field.

Okay it's been unlocked by MTN. Please change network selection to Auto again and see if you get network now. If not then it has to be the router.
