Right now I am unable to get youtube on Afrihost. Videos simply do not play even though the page loads.

AfriFella is heading home for the night, I'm hanging around a bit, running a bunch of tests with our network team to nail down the cause of the browsing weirdness tonight.

@Zertop & @standerr: Can you guys ping the IP you're seeing high latency on? Not seeing increased latency on monitoring/ testing.

Any specific sites I can double check?
I'm able to replicate a few things you guys are seeing, so definitely seems a bit finicky from our end.

Issue this side seems to be with opening streaming connections on HTTPS sites. Browser is constantly trying to open the secure connection, however it is getting disconnected. After a few attempts it does connect, though.

Woooow, just had a major internet cut off (everything literally stopped even though router was still connected), and now everything is back to normal!

Not the case here. Some teething issues are to be expected, we're still running through some improvements.
We're working on sorting this out.

This is only affecting the South btw.
