As I'm sitting here typing this message tears are flowing down my cheeks. FREE AFTER HOURS DATA :D

In all seriousness thanks for doing this, I'll be sending my request for a sync speed upgrade shortly :D

Don't know how many times this issue needs to be posted about before it's resolved.

Just note you need at least a 100GB+ 100GB account, next month the 50GB+50GB and 75GB+75GB will be upgraded to 100GB/150GB and it will apply to them as well.

Have you tried switching on your "Business Priority" thingie, waiting 10 minutes and then turning it back off. Some people have, in the past, reported it accidentally being stuck in the on position, which would give you these results.

Z :)

Yea I noticed on the site that the minimum data allocation is set at 100GB already.

I was talking about only upgrading the line sync speed not the amount of data, but good looking out though :)

While it may feel like it, we do need to look at the data and see what the data says. I'd like to look at the full test results and take things from there.
Please complete the following, this is essentially just swapping torrents with NNTP.

Location: Cape Town
Account type: Business 4mb
Business optimisation on/ off if you're on Business Uncapped: off
Local speedtest: See attached
International speedtest
Traceroute: See below
NNTP, and what provider you're using: My main newserver is the afrihost news server and back is nextgennews.net getting the same results
HTTP speeds on http://releases.ubuntu.com/14.04.3/ubuntu-14.04.3-desktop-amd64.iso: See http speed attachment
FTP speeds on ftp://ubuntu.mirror.ac.za/ubuntu-release/14.04.3/ubuntu-14.04.3-server-amd64.iso: See ftp speed attachment

I know these tests are a pain, but it really does go a long way in spotting a trend that we can pass onto our team.
Just seeing slow downloads in the evenings isn't pointing us to anything obvious from our end.

Definitely no drops from our end, so not sure what underlying issues there are here.

I'll give this a try, thanks.

Edit:

With optimisation on:

opt on.jpg

With optimisation off:

opt off.jpg

So that isn't right at all. Optimisation seems borked. I did wait more than 15 minutes after turning optimisation on/off in order to carry out these tests.

Edit 2: After waiting for another 10 minutes the torrent is now running at line speed for the most part. The issue seems to be linked to business optimisation.

Is it only business customers who have reported this issue? Anyone on capped experiencing the same problem?

There seems to be a problem with YouTube tonight. Although videos don't buffer the connection speed fluctuates a lot.

Had a quick check at YT, seems ok here

I want your line :(

EDIT: Wait, scratch that. I want Thor's bonded 40Mbps x 2.

EDIT2: Torrents were flying, 10pm hits and all my p2p drops down to 50-60kB/s (and sometimes 10kB/s) from 990kB/s. Strange as I have no scheduler.

Am the only one in the house using the net atm, so should be getting ~8.3/0.8. (I was looking at the torrent, it was at 10kB/s / 9kB/s the entire time of the speedtest).
Very strange.

EDIT 3: 1.1kB/s now for the last 3 minutes... Hope this picks up, will keep a speed logger running. Going to bed.

EDIT 4: Things started picking up at 5am according to the logger.
