:(

It's definitely not a network-wide issue, I tested an Uncapped account last night on my home connection and I was consistently maxing out the connection with P2P traffic.

We've double and triple checked your account and it is running exactly the way it should be.

Do you see the same issue at any times of day?

No as I have said before the issue occurs at around 19:00 every day and only affects P2P traffic and only on your network.

 My Line becomes very unstable suddenly, and picks up again so I did a test and discovered the below result, massive SNR drops...Don't think my SNR is suppose to do that, right?. It would be fine @16-17db and just drop to 3db

How do you get that graph for SNR?

And ISP cant influence SNR (unless the lower or raise your sync speed)

Its a line fault, is it raining there?

I must say the experience with Afrihost support has been interesting and extremely frustrating.

My P2P issues has never been mentioned in any response, but instead my router gets blamed and now all of a sudden I get a message about increased latency on my line, nothing about my downloading issues. If the latency is an issue why is there no issue until 19:00? Why do no other ISP accounts have this issue after 19:00. This is really wasting my time and patience.

I have a quick question, what's the difference between home uncapped and premium uncapped? Home says metered bandwidth and premium unmetered, but what exactly does that mean?

Throttling

1 - Bandwidth:
Home Uncapped packages have a monthly threshold after which, your speeds could be subject to throttling if the network is under strain. Premium and Business Uncapped packages have no usage thresholds.

Looks like Rickster beat me to it :)
The main difference between Home & Premium Uncapped is the throttling.

Home Uncapped is subject to throttling with monthly thresholds, while Premium Uncapped is semi-shaped (so P2P, downloads are shaped while realtime services like browsing, streaming, VoIP etc are left untouched) when/ if the network becomes busy.

Does home uncapped have fixed monthly thresholds before you start throttling and where can I find these thresholds?

EDIT: Sorry, wrong product, was thinking of the old package names:

//No thresholds. Depends on network demand. Of course the highest users get shaped first.

Thanks, I've asked our Critical Care team to give you a shout to run over a few things with you.
The reason our team asked for more detail here is that the traceroute seemed to come out Hetzner. Either way, our team will be in touch tomorrow to troubleshoot further.

So which speedtest do I believe? after testing with Critical care team on the Saix and speedtest.net and every result coming back fine , i still get this

Last Result: Cape Town
Download Speed: 13873 kbps (1734.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 9213 kbps (1151.6 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 32 ms
Jitter: 0 ms
