I select debit card payment , i get a error saying wrong branch code and my account gets closed still np get the right one and fix it
on the site they say i have to pay R125.35 via credit card ok fine np
then the **** hits the fan they charge me 2 times R58 to my card after i have already payed it
when i talk the the lady at accounts she is like um she does not know why i had to pay R125.35 via credit card it should just have been R9.35 as the other 2 * R58 had not jet been put through the card by the date that i payed the account
Now waiting for some accounts manager to phone me like that will happen in the next week

I have no idea what you're going on about. However, I find that 99% of this forum is satisfied with Afrihost. I have found that the 1% that isn't either didn't read the T&Cs or messed up of their own accord.

I have just moved to Afrihost from Telkom.

I found the process really easy and simple.

So far, not only am I saving money, but my Internet is a lot lot faster.

no problems here with Afrihost. Was up and running on a credit card payment in a matter of hours.

If you are going to go all spelling natzi, rather proof read your posts.

Idjit!

I also have an issue this month, was billed twice and received 2 GB instead of my 1GB, sent them a mail and they removed the extra 1GB now I just have to hope they reverse the second charge.

In comparison I used Webafrica's freezone to download patches but I got capped(it's meant to be free), asked Webafrica to refund my freezone data they took a while but in the end just topped up my prepaid account fully, nice of them.

Afrihost is the best provider in South Africa atm imo. It's not even been 4 days into the month yet and they're already offering their 2 for 1 topup. R14.50 a GB, can't go wrong whatsoever. Whatever hassles people may go through, trust me it's all worth it.

Anybody else having trouble deciphering the foreignglish in the original post?

Here we go again with the Anti-Afrihost campaign.

Another happy Afrihost customer here. Just topped up with 20Gb on their R14-50 special.

Ditto.

Funny how these negative rantings appear just as this 'special-within-a-special' is launched again. ;)

yep. afrihost must be one of the very few isp thats on top of myadsl's threads about each week. imho it's not that they give bad service or want to do people in contrary to believe, but it seems to be a systematic attempts to "get them down" for some reason. there is however the few cases where a human mistake was made, but then they have corrected it to the best possible means they could. apart from that it is those who don't properly investigate the TOS or assume things and go all snotty about it without trying to properly solve it with the respected isp first.

I understand you might be having problems, but why not just make the post in your own language? I'm assuming English isn't it, due to the bad grammar and spelling. SA has 11 languages to choose from. Your point will be understood way better. This is not an attack on your language or use there of, rather just some friendly advice. What I also don't understand is why don't people use the spell check? It may not always be perfect, but it would eliminate many errors!

But I have to agree with the statement that often these issues many people have are quite often more to do with the person having made a mess or not having understood the T&C before agreeing to the service.

*Hoping I didn't make any typos! Haha!*

Most of the issues encountered is due to people not reading the T&C's properly, or doing their homework before they jump in at the deep end.
