afrihost pathetic

I understand you might be having problems, but why not just make the post in your own language? I'm assuming English isn't it, due to the bad grammar and spelling. SA has 11 languages to choose from. Your point will be understood way better. This is not an attack on your language or use there of, rather just some friendly advice. What I also don't understand is why don't people use the spell check? It may not always be perfect, but it would eliminate many errors!

But I have to agree with the statement that often these issues many people have are quite often more to do with the person having made a mess or not having understood the T&C before agreeing to the service.

Most of the issues encountered is due to people not reading the T&C's properly, or doing their homework before they jump in at the deep end.

Yip, another happy customer here. I also topped up with the special - R290 for 20GB. You really can't beat that!

So explain to me how it's my fault that I was billed twice this month for my 1GB account? I received 2 invoices for February.

My guess is that it's a glitch related to me canceling the prepaid account last month and if that's the case how is that my fault again?

I also recieved two invoices for February. I queried that aswell as this:

Okay, first things first cause it needs to be said and I wanna make myself clear here: I LOVE AFRIHOST, yadda yadda yadda ...

Now back to business:
Received email from accounts, our credit card transaction was returned from the bank with reason "Not sufficient funds". And if I please will deposit the outstanding amount within 72 hours or my product will be suspended.

So far so good, we investigate with our bank, there was obviously some scam or booking errors and we will be refunded. I went to Afrihost's bank and deposited the money manually, also faxed them deposit slip as prove.

In the meantime Afrihost suspended our account!

So I sent email to accounts and asked them to reactivate me again. Received an email from them saying some techie willl look into it. Me wonders how complicate can it be to reactivate a connection after suspending it? Phoned them too, but office is closed on weekends. PMd Gian in this forum but no reply since 3 or 4 days :/

Me a not so happy camper!

Fortunately I still have a Do3 or whatever it's called withTelkom but that account will be capped soon.
Meanwhile Afrihost sitting on their bums, enjoying the good weather ... or what are they doing?

Then I read in this very forum here about IS having technical problems, same in Afrihost's client zone. Now I'm asking myself is my connection maybe down because of IS problems? Or did my money not go thru to them?

And what am I gonna do once Telkom caps me and Afrihost going on giving me the silent treatment? Buy some Axxess voucher? Ugh, they are on IS as well, so maybe no connectivity either ...

I'm at my wit's end :(
 
@Herman - if push comes to shove, you can always go to Engen or Pick 'n Pay and buy an R70 Axxess voucher to tide you over until AfriHost sort the problems out.
 
@ Librarian: If you read my post carefully (it was sent twice for some reason unbeknownst to me) you'll notice that I already thought of getting an Axxess voucher ... but since they are on IS as well as Afrihost, there is a big chance I'm not getting any joy from them neither.

@ Smiley: Afrihost prepaid is only R29/GB, at least that's what I pay. Gotta love 'em ;)
But the bestest and cheapestest price tag doesn't help much if the line is broken, their book keepers are sleeping or whatever keeps me from getting reactivated.
 
ok ok, forget my last post! It seems some Afrihoster is reading the forum and has secretly set my account to work again. Sneaky bunch those guys ;)

As posted earlier my account was reactivated today. Yes, today, a friggin sunday, Zayne obviously read my email, checked my transaction and set me active again !!!

\o/ YAY! \o/

Afrihost will have my business for some time to come, that's for sure.
