We are way off topic but you are correct. Hope the AfriGuys don't mind.That is normal, the new routers like Zyxel and Asus seem make provision for static IP addresses such as printers etc.
Usually I see 192.168.1.100 to 254 as the DHCP pool. Unless Lara manually configured it that way. So I don't see a problem here.
