Here are my results for the Afrigreen network in Cape Town northern suburbs as of a minute ago - ping again far over 100 ms and down speed 1.49 Mbps on a 10 Mbps line - is there anything that can be done about this AfriGenie / AfriGuy ?

Last Result:
Download Speed: 1491 kbps (186.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 306 kbps (38.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 111 ms
07/08/2015, 16:27:47

Have seen an improvement in speed over the last 20 minutes as the officeworkers shut down their PC's to leave for the long weekend, but ping is still high:

Last Result:
Download Speed: 3330 kbps (416.3 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 395 kbps (49.4 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 108 ms

Ping has improved to 70ms over the last 10 minutes (still slower than the regular Afrihost network though)

P.S. Thank you for the extra 100 Gigs, but I only managed to use 10 Gigs out of my 101 G capped during July due to Afrihost / Afrigreen network issues

Glad things have improved a little bit - latency does seem a bit high though :( Where abouts are you based?

Thanks for the free 100gigs so awesome especially for a long weekend
Looking forward to some Netflix tonight

I'm only at home for another 5 nights this month... and I've got 290GB left...

AfriGreen is still working very well. Pings are stable and the routes perfect. :)
Thanks for the cool 100Gb present.

Speed test showed that when testing to Johannesburg and Cape Town it is almost the same.

Those results are excellent!
Granted, latency can be improved - but that'll happen when we add a POP in CPT :)

Having great throughput and then just drops, then good again, then drops, etc.
Can't catch anything on a tracert/speedtest though.

Could you guys drop me a PM with your DSL usernames? I'd like to see if the auth itself is dropping here.

Same problem here, one minute getting max line speed, then throughput drops for a second to zero, then back up again. However latency stays constant and speedtests are fine.

Yeah pretty much having the same problem over here too.

Seems like fair few having the exact same problem.

There is something wrong with the site. It gives a general failure error.

Edit: Oops, seems PeerBlock prevented the connection. :o
