Afrihost POC Network - Afrigreen Feedback

My son could not download the latest Witcher 3 patch on the normal Afrihost network, decided to try Afrigreen, and its downloading at a decent speed. So as a first try on the new network, I am happy. Irritated that the normal network is still crappy though.

Oh, I knew it wouldn't last, barely downloading now :mad:

Is the patch being downloaded from Steam? Or is it a console version?

How are your other download speeds looking?
 
Youtube stopped being awesome today. Can't stream 720p without buffering. :(

That's not cool.

Could you run a traceroute to Youtube.com please, I just want to make sure you are be routed to the correct cache.

Thanks! That is definitely the correct IP, but looks like there is a lot of extra latency on your connection at the moment. :(

One final test, can you please ping bras.afrihost.com and post the results here.

Youtube seems better now. Thanks for the help though.

Edit: Spoke too soon. Youtube absolutely not able to stream anything at 720p atm. Nothing else using my connection, and speed tests show 8Mbps.

Not good at all considering this is supposed to be a 10MB account.

Browsing veeeeery sloooow on AfriGreen tonight in Cape Town:

Download Speed: 3584 kbps (448 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 503 kbps (62.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 68 ms

and Afrihost Regular showing even worse download speed, and 40ms latency when I usually get 25 to 26 ms:

Incredible Connection 4Mbps uncapped (on I.S. backbone) - also suffering with worse-than-usual download speed and latency on my line tonight:
