Okay vs the old account i could barely get 250gigs of usage before everything got super slow, with a ton of packet drop that sometimes I can't use teamspeak.

I am now at 500GB and the account is going strong I am super happy! No package drops what so ever even under heavy use.

Great to hear you're seeing some good improvements :D

...ok so after my crappy slow speeds over the past two weeks... did some tests and found out its exchange congestion... logged a complaint online at Telkom and what could be 1st time experience for me, had a Telkom tecnician at my door within two hours after logged compalint!

Apparently its an issue affecting a greater part of our area and he said he would move my line "over to a different bank" and now everything's back to pure awesomeness!!!

AfriGreen was da bomb last night and I actually overslept not wanting to turn in for the night:D

Keep up dishing out the awesome sauce AfriGreen!!!

I'm so upset that I wasted so much money over this afrihost mess.
All these agents wanting test after test, like its a user problem.
Why FFS does another provider work fine ? You are bad relationship that makes me want to take revenge.

I Spent thousands living through this. B@sstards

It is an F1 weekend, the only route that must be prioritised is Sky F1 and f1.com, all downloads should be shaped to avoid interfering with the F1 Stream :)

True, and it is Spa!
I'll put in a request to block everything, shaping is too kind :p

Speaking of, FP1 is on now.

Really sorry that we've let you down here. I don't think we're actively blaming our clients for the issues, but on a POC, or any network for that matter, need to see tests.
If there's a pending query I'll gladly chase this up for you.

Yes busy watching it now on BBC2 via BBC iPlayer, picture quality is great, and the stream is sitting at an average of 200Kbs.

Thanks Afriguy, the team got your note, my stream just jumped from 200KBs to 400KBs :) they must have prioritised it as per request.
Peeking now at 9.06 Mbs, awesome.

Glad to hear it seems to be working. Would be very interesting to know what might have changed :)

I would too because last night I could download with the download manager and browse and now it's gone back to not working. It's a really really strange thing. And still only those select websites don't browse. Other websites work fine while downloading simultaneously

I literally haven't changed anything on my account.

Really does sound like a local config going wrong somewhere...

I'd try another router, check WiFi and wireless settings. Those changes barred, not really sure on where to start.

If it was those then wouldn't it have the same effect on my web africa account?

Could it be what Devilish says below?

Deleting and recreating your network connection will probably not fix the fault. You should learn to live without the download manger as it is obviously the reason for your browsing woes.

The fact that it only affect your Afrihost account could be due to the load balancer they employ which frequently changes your routing.

Alternatively you could experiment with another download manager until you find one that will work with the Afrihost account.

You can try another download manager. We've run the tests that we could and under no tests could we get your issue replicated, I also don't think anyone else has reported it.
