Was this test run now?
Can't seem to replicate it on my end, looks like it's the rack that's seeing increased latency just before our stack.

What happens if you traceroute afrihost.com?

No, this is a test I've done earlier which Dan C copied. I don't think there is anything wrong on your side because when I did the test again it didn't show any latency errors.

Ah cool beans, thanks for confirming dude :)

Oh no, only AfriGreen is privy to my location. :D

Still no reply from Gian .. ... Must admit, I predicted this but man it makes me feel like a not so valued customer ...

Really pathetic service if you ask me

I think a lot of your queries have been addressed here/ via PM - but as I've said, he is massively busy.
You're welcome to follow up with him via mail, but realistically I'd expect a reply after the migration.

He's the CEO of Afrihost man. Probably has bigger concerns that being a +1 for the support department.

Quick feedback, speeds here have improved dramatically over the past 2 hours. Not sure if this is reduced demand or if there have been some config changes on the network. Download speeds from Microsoft (Channel 9 video) is running at 420kB/sec (currently seeing approx 100Mb download per minute). Simultaneously a speedtest to Jhb server is just over 3Mbps. All this while drip feeding an upload backup to dropbox at 20kbps. No timeouts on the trace route like I was experiencing at about 5pm. Thats pretty good performance for a single 10Mbps line. :)

Nice to see what is possible - I really hope that with the migration to the new network this type of experience will be something we can expect 24X7.

Edit: Jhb speedtest 3Mbps not 300Mbps !!

Just a quick one guys, busy running through some prep work for the migration tomorrow.
We need to see a bit more load from the South though - can you guys load up some HD YouTube vids?

Telling you AfriGuy. Tomorrow if I don't notice any issue with my connection due to the migration load, I'll be impressed.
