According to my Clientzone I have a 100 GB Shaped Capped Account for R99.
Now I have had this account since January 2014 and have always been very happy with it.
However recently I have started noticing the shaping, especially with torrents during peak times.
My question is if I opt for the Unshaped Capped option your website says my 100 GB will become 50 GB.
Now since you do not have accounts below 100 GB's any more will I still be able to do this ?
Also when I try and change my package on the Clientzone a window keeps popping up saying:

Oops! An Error Occured
Invalid data connectivity product selected.
If this problem persists please call us on 011 612 7200

Yes you can. I changed mine from 100GB shaped to 50GB unshaped a few days ago.

If you have the option to change the 50GB, you will definitely be able to change to it. Would you mind trying the package change again, if it doesn't go through, please PM me your username and I'll check what's going on.

Seeing as I haven't gotten a reply to a question I asked a few days ago, I thought I'd ask you quickly:

How do you know when you're being shaped?
Is there some indicator online, somewhere we can check?
If there's no such thing, can it be put into the CZ somewhere?

Performance hasn't been very good on my side. Sure it downloads close to full speed, but everything feels extremely sluggish -when not downloading. Therefore I can't figure out whether it's the account or not.

(It's definitely not the line, so I'm not interested in doing all the tracrtrs and other tests...I just want to know where I can see if shaping is applied ;) )

At the moment there isn't a way to tell if you're Capped account is being shaped. :( It's definitely something we are working on.

That being said, shaping on Shaped Capped accounts will only ever affect P2P and HTTP downloads. No other services on Shaped Capped accounts can be shaped.

When you say your connection feels sluggish, do you mean browsing?

Which DNS servers are you using at the moment?

I replied 4 times...and posted 4 times and everytime it just cuts out.
THAT is exactly what I'm talking about.

Anyway, I said:

* This has been going on ever since the shaping thing started.

* It's not the physical line. I've had a better overall experience with telkom uncapped (yeah, you read that right!) and a Web Africa account than with this AH account

* I don't know what the DNS settings are, but they've been the same for all accounts.

* I don't p2p

* Websites feel like they take a little longer to open

* Streaming (you tube) is worse on the AH account -compared to the above mentioned accounts.

There's definitely something strange going on... Does the time of day make a difference at all?
