Afrihost offerings are looking great. I have a few questions, If anybody can help answer these will be most useful to get connected with them.

1) Is says no contracts, so if i sign up with them, can i stop using them whenever i want to? normal 30 day notice period etc?

2)If i take the 1Gb option, can i top up as may times as i want to during the month, if by chance i need to use a lot more data?

3)with the instant activation, is a debit order setup, or is the billing monthly from my credit card?

Oh an generally how has the service been?

Speeds etc any good? I watch a few videos on youtube etc, and i am hoping performance on this is decent.

Service has been great, I've had no issues and the AfriHost guys are active on the forum, which is fantastic.

1) As far as I interpret it yes cancellation with 1 month notice so if you notify them today then your last month would be November.

2) Yes you can topup and up and up and up

3) Mine is done from my credit card, monthly on the 1st, I presume debit order is the same, would just process a day or so earlier to ensure its in their bank account by the 1st.

Overall I'm very happy with them, it's IS bandwidth and it's been behaving very well the past month and a bit. I do 20 gig's a month with them.

I'm sure one of the AfriHost guys will respond to this thread as well soon.. ;)

Thanks for the feedback

Service is nothing I have ever seen.

Emails get replied within 5min! and this was last night after 8.

So impressed with them at the moment!!

Sorry - I haven't searched or anything yet ... but have they managed to address the issue regarding changing your adsl account password that you enter in your router?

Yup voicy. But, there is still no feature to change your Credit Card details.
Regarding the ADSL account password, you can click on "Reset" to reset your ADSL login password.
I have not actually done it, but I am assuming that it will generate a new one for you.

The best in the industry mate. What a pleasure dealing with Afrihost.
All my good mates (6 of them) are now with Afrihost and are loving the service as well as the fact that they saving alot of money each month.

ps: if you are leaving another ISP for Afrihost, please tell them why you are doing so.

...impressed, sign up and accounting could be better, however they do provide what they advertise (unusual for SA ISP's) and their support is currently exceptional (compared to SA standards)

only issue currently is the 12 hour reset.

...

You can top up as many times as you want but when the special ends you will have to top up at the new price, so it's better if you apply for the amount you think you'll use....

further questions:
- If I sign up for a 10GB package and don't use the BW, does it roll over?
- If I top-up, does the top-up roll over? I heard it expires within the same month.
