Afrihost R1 special is back

They emailed clients yesterday. Was surprised I hadn't seen it announced here earlier.
 
It's always been there, but all the good accounts have been sold.

You can still get up to 20GB for R1, and the only available uncapped accounts are now 384 Kbps.

They relaunched it yesterday .I got a 50gig yesterday which had been sold out previously. I see it's sold out now again.
 
I got the email to say its available and bought the 50gb immediately.

I only saw the mail 12 hours after they sent it out, so the 20GB will have to do. Thanks Afrihost!
 
Is it open for new customers only/those who didn't snap up a R1 account previously? I've had "sold out" rak pop up whenever I proceed to paying, despite it saying they're not sold out on the first page.

I would assume that it would be open to anyone who did not sign up last time... whether they have other Afrihost products or not.
 
Its only open for those who didn't already sign up for the R1 account, and it doesn't matter if you're a new or existing customer.

I've signed up for the 50GB one and my MikroTik's graphs are almost a flat line on 1Mbps ever since :D
Mweb 1Mbps uncapped is OK for gaming & browsing, but not so good for non-offpeak Astraweb downloads.
