I have had difficulties to get a IP assigned that is accessible from outside (type of work that I do requires it) and I have had a real poor experience with Afrihost regarding it.
On a Saturday night, i loose connectivity and then, I managed to get it sorted, as Afrihost while I was waiting for the "support" they decided to stop issuing dhcp leases to me. Got the old I I needed back after masking the wan interface to use the old mac address (no response from support and I needed to get back online).
Now today, again, support is unable to assist me to open up port 25 that I need, saying its the last mile provider. Fine, just get it done.
Then, they change my ip again, screws up hours of work as the connections were terminated, and STILL no response from them.
I swear, are you trying to get me to move? Your support quality I cannot mention here what the level is, as I would get banned.
Now this new ip, is still not usable and its worse than before.
And now I go through 4 additional hops to get out. Why, what are you doing with the traffic?
Is this just me or should I just cut my losses and leave them after 10 years?
