Hi guys. Quick question. I have a 4Mbps line. Speed tests show everything is fine but streaming is seriously struggling. Only YouTube is fine. Every other video has streaming issues.

Afrihost replies with they're 'investigating'. On the fb page, there is an individual experiencing a similar issue.

Who else is having this buffering issue? And what can be done about it?

I'm literally so frustrated right now trying to stream anything including Facebook videos.

Afrihost replied. They said its a problem in the KZN region. At least they acknowledged its on their end. Anyone else experiencing this that's not in KZN?

YouTube streams fine
Facebook Videos Buffer
Netflix Buffers
Showmax Buffers
Twitch Buffers
High international latency in KZN
Mweb Peering problem in KZN between 6:00pm and 10:00pm

The network seems to be falling apart :crylaugh:

Please post any feedback you have in our official thread.

It honestly does! Let's hope this issue actually gets fixed. It's only been a month I've been with Afrihost. :( so disappointed atm that this issue exists.

Can confirm this is happening on 2 seperate locations in East London as well. Afrihost techs just want me to run traceroutes and speedtests...which are fine.

This is at its worst on fridays and evenings, yet at 2am i can stream Source quality without issue.

Sorry to hear about the hassles :(
I ran some tests to Twitch last night without much of a problem.

If you have a ticket ref# or some tests I can look at I'd be glad to follow up :)
Let's move the conversation to our official thread - it makes things a bunch easier to track.
