You get 10gb for R49 but when you try to top up your package it is 5gb + 5gb for free for R145. This just doesnt make any sense to me and adds a whole level of frustration to trying to meet my broad band needs. As i now have to create new accounts and cancel them all over the place as my usage is very random from month to month.

i also get frustrated with top ups, for existing customers > 6 months they should have a separate top up option equal to the value of their existing package so for example you are on a month to month package of 20gb for R89 then you should have the option of topping off with another 20gb for the same price (R89). same should apply for mobile.

So if I want to get some extra data I just signup for a new account on the clientzone? Don't you have to give a month notice to cancel the new account?

it seems that if you do it early in the month then it doesnt roll over but if you do it late in the month then it repeats next month. This isnt a hard and fast rule. Its just what appears to happen to me. I used to be on uncapped and then changed to capped earlier this year.

I need to get some more capped data and I was thinking about getting the afrihost 20GB (R89/pm) and then I will be changed R50.40 pro-rata for 11.33GB.

Could I just then cancel the account at the end of the month and only pay the initial R50.40 today?

But wait, can one not still use the data until the end of the month even if it's been cancelled before the 25th? I remember reading this somewhere I think
Should be able to, yes. Cancel before the 25th, and the cancellation should take effect on the 1st of the next month.
