Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

I can also confirm...had a bit of a speed hickup at around 20:00. Speed was around 120-150...then at 21:00 or there about the speed went back to full tilt 210.

I see a few posts about netflix being slow, as well as some other streaming. From our side we didn't see any significant drops in bandwidth or connectivity to suggest that something went out of whack on the network. We also didn't make any changes, and it seems to have resolved, so it may have been an issue somewhere in the States that we are not aware of.

Please let us know if this seems to come back later.

Hey guys,

I logged a support call on Saturday 03/08/2013 and only got a response now (nearly 3 days later). Is this the norm for Afrihost to respond to faulty adsl queries?

Not a happy camper, my adsl is basically useless for anything other than downloading, I have logged nearly 5 tickets in the last 6 months to get this issue resolved with no luck.

That's definitely a very slow response, I sincerely apologise. I'm not sure why this issue took so long to be addressed, I would definitely like to look further into this and involve our Quality Assurance team.

And here I thought I'm wimping out on my 4meg Afrihost line after doing 54GB so far this month. :D

What IPC you're on?

EDIT: How long have you had this account and how much data have you moved?

EDIT 2: Can you post your "3 new MyBB speedtest" tests aswell please out of curiosity :)

It's better now. Most likely was just not enough bandwidth to go around earlier.

It's maxing out again at the moment.

Only got the account yesterday, still unshaped and only done about 16gig so far.

I'm in Cape Town, think its the local IPC (ipc-send-tb-3a.mtnbusiness.net).

Hang on; maybe add your shaping status in clientzone aswell when you getting fluctuations?

EDIT: Jealous as ****, I'm still stuck on G.dmt (4mb, attainable: 12mb), maybe I should move :D

EDIT2: Afrihost's 20mb bundle price very reasonable I must say... Howz your netflix?
