Oh awesome! Thanks I phoned the support centre and 2 dslam port resets later, same thing, let me use the magical Fix My Line buttong in client zone and see what happens, ssh to my router at the moment has a response time of a 747 trying to do a backflip..

You shouldn't be slowed down. Business is unshaped so maybe it has to be on Telkom's side

I was wondering, could I pause my bundled ADSL account without pausing my ADSL line? How would I go about doing that (do I need to unbundle)

I just need to try a different account and I dont want to move my line between accounts

Indeed you can
When you pause your DSL service the line will never be paused in any case.

I'm currently on 2MB uncapped and my line has been upgraded from 2MB to 3MB (can't sync at 4MB).

What is the best way to get my full line speed until the end of the month? Can I just sign up for a capped account (pro-rata) and cancel it later?

You can. If you cancel the account will only cancel at month end
