Line installation is totally in Telkom's hands - we have no influence there, I'm afraid

That's why we shape and monitor the network. While we may have to slow down downloads and torrents by priority, we can still deliver a high quality overall experience.

I know :/ that's what I meant though, even their employees complain about those services! Something they should sort out.

Anyways, as always, very excited for my line to get up and going and looking forward to the Afrihost experience! Besides what has been happening this last week (and this includes all isp's), Afrihost is STILL my isp of choice.

Afri-folks, what's the shaping situation at the moment? In ClientZone I see 'Shaping Policy: 18.8% Download/ 6.25% P2P', yet I've not cracked even 100GB on a 4Mb line this month, and JINX's graphs aren't showing anything terribly out of sorts... Also, for clarity, does that mean I'm getting or losing a fifth of my download speed?

Looks as though usage is peaking again. We'll have to implement shaping until this decreases
