You are lucky.

Ok so who next? Axxess, Openweb? On the best isp thing a while back Axxess was second on the list so they must be ok?

Afrihost bought Axxess (AFAIK) - can't imagine Axxess' QOS is any better. Does anyone know if life is better over at Axxess-land?

Axxess runs off the exact same rules as Afrihost.

Currently my Axxess account is unshaped and I'm downloading from Steam at around 1MB/s

Afrihost it seems like a lot of people are having a problems with streaming. When they switch to a different ISP account then the problems disappears. That means there's definitely a problem with the Afrihost Network. To those who are having problems steaming, try installing Internet Download Manager then installing the browser extensions. After that go to your YouTube video and press the download button at the top right of the download screen. This should speed up your videos. But it's strange, I don't ever have problems with YouTube on my 2mb uncapped.

The whole of Saturday news servers have been stuck at 25KB/s. I'm done, sorry Afrihost. Openweb here I come

15:38 on a Saturday afternoon. 50% Download/ 50% P2P

Absolutely Pathetic.

Luckily I'm not downloading.

usage is 27gb so far and still being shaped, ping times are slow - no matter what time of the day...I'm canceling AH next month to get double my money back...

ugh, cant play gw2 , rubberbanding all the time...

sent the traceroutes to afriguy, but can someone actually confirm if GW2 traffic is picked up and categorized correctly by the prioritization?

gaming traffic is given highest network priority. Unless this is using a P2P signature, we won't touch gaming traffic ever.

We're seeing much lighter usage on the network, but there is some shaping at present. Again, the total you use is not as important as the usage pattern. We try to identify those using bandwidth over short periods of time to identify which users to shape to have the biggest effect by shaping the least amount of users.
