All through the night for me , Shaping Policy: 25% Download/ 12.5% P2P
Just some info, I was downloading at my full 1MBps (1000KBps) for the entirety of last night (10Meg line)...
So, all good for me
If you download at that speed all night no wonder there is nothing left for the rest of us.
Sorry :/ Well, I have no effect on your IPC and I really wanted my Steam downloads to finish before this morning... after all... I do pay for it
And I get my unusable account for free? Actually 2 accounts and 2 lines so I'm sure I don't pay less than you.

Separate IPC's...separate regions unfortunately. I do feel for you JHB people...I do think that Afrihost will focus their plan to fix this problem up there first. So it might be small comfort, but there is that.

I was just saying that I'm glad that I am getting what I pay for.What is bugging me is that i get shaped so quickly. Im basically paying the same amount for a 100gb capped account and can barely break 100gb without getting shaped...
A mate of mine who is on 2mb uncapped can on average download 150gb without getting shaped and he is also on afrihost uncapped.

Afriman. You tell us, no beg us to download after midnight because that's the time when there is no shaping applied.
at 4.15 am I got up and decided to check my torrents. The speed? 3kBps . I check clientzone and I am being heavily shaped (25 HTTP 6.25 P2P) I am definetly connected to my uncapped account. Here is a picture, you will notice that in one window, Google says the exact time so no one will think I am lying. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fgxb6chko50acel/Shaping.png
This is utterly ridiculous. I refuse to believe that your network is at it's capacity at 4 in the morning. It means that I have been shaped for around 21 hours now. Sort this out!!!!

Oh, for ****'s sake. This morning I can't even open attached .pdf statements before my internet banking logs me out, because the images embedded in the email have to trickle in at 50kb/s before I can download any attachments. But a goddamned Youtube stream comes down at near line speed...

It seems as though there may have been an error last night and we didn't unshape as we should have overnight. Our dev team are working on this to see what could have gone wrong. Sincerely sorry - that should not have happened
Sorry to hear that - we really don't expect these demand issues to last as long as that. We're assured that a solution will be implemented very soon - we'll be giving confirmed deadlines as soon as we have them from our management,

But it did. And it has before. And, given current trends, will likely happen again in future.
Yet you expect people PAYING YOU MONEY to believe the system normally functions as it should. Because near 21-hours-a-day 18.8/6.25 shaping is reasonable. Or something.
Really sorry about - can totally understand your frustration. Do you have a Free GB account that you can use for banking so you can get your stuff done? Drop me a PM if there is something I can do to help
