This may be a stupid Q, just want confirmation. Um the East IPC'S serve PMB as well as Durban and obviously surrounding areas??; )

If the network is fully congested ( as it has been for most of the last 5 weeks) no level of shaping will prevent everyone from being throttled due to the fact that the network can't deliver the bandwidth required for the aggregate requirement of the active users...

As I said before nothing has changed the last five weeks therefore expecting a different experience is an exercise in folly.

well its day 9 down here in cape town with uncapped shaped to nothing . this morning 5kb/s on a 1mbit line . where is that capacity you talking about afriman ?

Apparently the capacity is not live as yet according to the forum and I don't think there is an ETA as such at this current moment of time but it shouldn't be any longer now that the extra capacity will be enforced and you all should experience a difference in terms of demand on the network and lesser shaping to your line. Well lets hope anyway that is the case :) Just hang in there for now and let Afriman/Afriguy take care of this, they know what they doing :D

Im curious - where are you? Cape Town hardly needs shaping at the moment?
 
i am in muizenberg - my account says shaped 25% download, 12.5% p2p but that is a joke, i am getting between 1% and 5%
