... People fail to read... Im comparing people that will blindly follow something even though its not giving them what they voted/paid for... I am not comparing Afrihost to ANC... goddamn... I am comparing their supporters though. Might be cause im in a bad mood cause I again couldnt watch twitch last night :D

Yeah I understand. Twitch is a bitch on any ISP though.

So sir the extra capacity that you ordered from Telkom will probably be live next year Jan or Feb and we will notice or experience lesser shaping? Correct :)

We've already gone live with our provisional capacity - we're just waiting for more :)
It should ease the shaping for most clients - it'll never be gone forever I'm afraid.

Really? I never used to have problems with it a couple of months back.

I'm missing the context :(
Have you not seen shaping previously or are you picking up an issue on the line/ account you haven't seen before?

Numerous times before.

You should still have my contact details / email / phone.

If not then I can send it again.

I understand that you are flooded with msgs everyday but you were aware of my issues since two days ago and have replied, when I responded on your last question to me I got no reply and have had to keep asking for a reply.

My line seems to be quite stable now at under 2 mbps (Yes sarcasm) where I have for most part been getting a consistent 8.5mbps.

Anyways, I am not blaming afrihost or you guys, I know you are incredibly busy and do everything you can to help where possible. I am just frustrated with not really being able to use my internet at home. (yes my speeds are still faster than say someone with a 1mbps line BUT web pages have also been struggling to load the last two days. You tube is just a no go and let's not even think about downloads {main reason I went with a 10mbps bundle from Afrihost})

Sorry, we're going through as many posts as possible.
Have you PM'ed AfriMan or me your details to have this investigated?

I'm really sorry that we haven't attended to this in time :( Very strange that you're seeing such poor throughput. I'd like to run some extensive checks on your line for you tonight. Please PM me your deets again, I have a feeling it's been lost in the masses lately :(

Is your line with us?

2 months since iOS7 day and I've seen precious little of this supposed 'improvement', barring that the odd download does seem to obey the ±1/5th shaping shown in Clientzone instead of trickling in at 6kb/s. This weekend past again I saw heavier and more consistent shaping than the one before, and that after the supposed introduction of (a bit) more capacity. I'm still sitting with a materially different product than what I had up until mid-September.

Our provisional capacity has seen vast improvements in terms of latency and throughput in the North region. It's had a better overall affect in the East and South though.
Once our additional capacity is pushed out live we should see a better overall experience in the North too. We're getting there :)

Yeah, dude. Sure. Doesn't change the fact that you're fast approaching getting your 3rd unchanged payment for a very much changed product. Patience is wearing thin.

I'm sorry that we're letting you down.
As I mentioned, improvements are being seen overall - however the shaping in the North is still more than what we'd like to see. Adding the capacity we wanted initially would have been a win, but we have to make do with the provisional capacity for the moment.

Woooow - what just happened. Very randomly shaped again? CPT

Just checked with our team, we're making some adjustments to the network to optimise the overall performance.
This shouldn't be around here for long.

Sorry forgot to quote :<

What I mean is I didnt have trouble streaming twitch a couple of months back. i.e. 480p wouldnt stutter, sometimes I could watch it on 720p without stuttering.

Are you watching the same streams?
We've seen very mixed reports about Twitch - some of their channels are very bandwidth hungry :( Even 10Mbps accounts battle to stream certain streams as it seems to want to use 900KB/s.
