Afriman, what is the procedure if my line is still syncing at 2meg instead of the upgraded 4meg speed? Should I be calling you guys or Telkom?

My line is currently with Afrihost.

If your line is with us you can give us a shout to check it out.
Drop me a PM and I'll see if I can get the line back up to 4Mbps for you :)

my line was upgraded to 2mbps earlier today, can't wait to get home and test it out. I'm assuming that I can upgrade to 2mbps on clientzone? and get charged pro rata?

PS - why is the old clientzone showing when I login? Previously, It used to load the new version, now I have to select it everytime I log in.

If my line has been upgraded to 2 megs from Telkom at the exchange. but my line is still showing 1 meg with afrihost. Must I wait for afrihost to put it up or must I call them to upgrade me ?

Chat to the ADSL department on their website, they'll fix it quick quick. Did mine this morning that way

I was on a standard 1 meg bundle for R297. Was getting heavily shaped so had to go to business bundle for R397. Busy speaking to someone at Afrihost to get my line pushed to 2 megs ( exchange was upgraded to 2megs). But being told I will pay R497 at the end of this month because they don't have a 1 meg package anymore. ( Why I cant have a 2 meg line with a 1 meg business data for R397 I don't know !! )

From being a happy chappy when I switched to Afri from mweb for the first month( October ). Paying only R297. Now ill be forced to pay R200 rand more because Telkom decided to upgrade the lines. And afrihost wont drop there data prices. I could pay R397 for the standard 2meg uncapped bundle. But risk being heavily shaped again.

Decided not to be upgraded to a 2 meg business bundle at the end of this month. As I cant afford R500. So luckily ive been put back to the 1 meg bundle. But been told I will have to switch to a 2meg line as Afrihost don't offer 1 meg anymore. So stuck with a standard 2 meg bundle , as from the first ( shaping here we come :( )

Concerned about this as well. I'm happy with my 1 Meg Business account and don't want a Standard Home account. However, the 2 Meg Business Account is R100 more than what I'm paying now. No good option for me.

I know dude. R300 was within the budget for me. Having to go to R400 was starting to stretch it , but had to as was getting nothing out of my line when I was being shaped. Now having to give R500 will be to much for me :(

Afriman any issues in durban? This is my local ping with afrihost

:( Telkom has been trying to find the cause of all my issues and can't find anything, maybe it's afrihost.

If I pause my 10Mbps Bundle, will I be charged R399 for the line p/m for the paused period?

Sorry that you feel this way, it's definitely not that we aren't or don't want to drop our prices - we're just waiting on the final confirmations from Telkom and our Management to make a decision on this.
We haven't disappointed in the past, and I'm confident that Gian and the team will make the best decision :)

No issues that we're aware of, but the latency here isn't looking ideal :( I'll follow up with our team to run a few checks on our end.
