Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

Today is a public holiday - why are we being shaped as though it's a regular weekday? In the Midrand area.

Surely, the usage today can't be drastically different from Sat (which was unshaped the whole day?)

Almost 10pm now and still getting shaped. Downloads now at 75%.

This shaping is appearing to be less dynamic and more like it's working according to a set schedule.

75% isn't bad for a Monday. What's your monthly total looking at and which package?

Netflix is buffering at a rate of about 1%/5sec tonight :(

Haven't had any further feedback from Telkom

Hi Afri*.

Any more information on the new price implementation? I still don't see the 4mb option in my client zone and I have confirmed with Telkom that my DSL line is now set to 10mb profile - which does not help as my dslam is limited to 4mb.

Getting close to billing cycle and I refuse to pay you more...again. Please provide a workable solution to this ASAP please.

Looks like Afri* went on leave or something, I PM'd AfriMan on Friday and still no reply yet. Somehow my line went from a 10mb line to 2mb line on Thursday and unfortunately I've had to sit with this since...AfriPeople, please help :(

Sorry about this :( Shaping isn't only active on weekdays, it runs whenever the network is busy.
Which area are you based in?

Looks like there's some exchange congestion here :(
Is your line with us?

Line's with you. Fault logged a while ago. Not getting sufficient feedback from Telkom. Possible that they've closed the ticket.

If they did our team should know about it. Drop me a PM with the info and I'll see what info I can dig up :)

AfriMan is taking a bit of time out, there was also a long weekend in between so we're catching up slowly but surely :)

Are bundled prices coming down?

I currently pay R597 for a 4mb uncapped bundle - but if I move to Mweb i'd only pay R449 This is a big difference and i'm considering jumping ship if Afrihost doesn't reflect this.

Our bundled pricing has already been reduced :)
