Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback (Pt2)

@Afriman,

Any issues on Uncapped DSL? I switched recently from my capped account and I can immediately feel a significant drop in performance. Web pages timeout, Youtube struggles sometimes and it generally just feels sluggish?
 
GOOD NEWS! I'm Back :D

Anyway - my speeds are not that bad at all - but not up to standard. Im getting 6Mbps on my 10Mbps account (Not complaining though :P ) Ill just wait it out till tomorrow

Seems something is a bit wrong tonight - wait it out till tomorrow. Also, i've noticed that capped accounts are always much speedier than Uncapped accounts when there is an issue, but when the circumstances are normal, they are usually just as fast :)

That's good to know. I'll see how things are tomorrow. It seems to have improved a bit since this afternoon.

I've also been having issues with uncapped the last week or so, this is a speedtest run from a Linux terminal window on a 4mb uncapped account. an it's one of the better results today.

Flip, never saw that you were running linux. Is there any way for you to run that on a windows pc?

Could you post some results on a capped account and a tracert?
 
Absolutely abysmal again today. :mad:

What's weird is, HTTP downloads run at full speed but my browsing is extremely sluggish and unresponsive.
