Can we expect the additional IPC capacity in the South soon as well?

Yea - try scheduling your downloads overnight, it'll help the network be unshaped during the day :)

Only my Afrihost accounts were affected my Mweb DSL lines stayed connect and latency was fine.....
Just saying.... It was a whole 5 minute blip so can't complain.... :love:

Sorry, I don't have an ETA on that - but we're still seeing reasonably good performance in the South for now. But it is part of the plan to get more Cape Town capacity
 
Wow, it's like a ghost house here.

Presuming that our North upgrade has sorted out many issues for being who were battling.

Loving it ;)

Uncapped line just got activated now!

First time ADSL user, line was activated from Telkom's side on the 5th, but I couldn't sync.
Afrihost logged the call with Telkom on Saturday and telkom techie phoned this morning to fix it.

Afterwards I could only log in with the free 1 GB account, e-mailed afrihost and now it's sorted!

Not sure if I am a abuser. But I've been shaped quite heavily since the beginning of the year.

56 GB projected????? Come on.

You can say that again. Loving this upgrade. Feels 50x better than it was without the upgrade. Thank you Afrihost.

What about the East? Are you still adding more capacity to that IPC please :D
 
The additional capacity has helped things here in the south as well, I now only get shaped during netflix time (6PM - 11PM). Maybe a little bit more would make things perfect for the guys in the south and east. :D

You're on the lightest shaping policy here. Remember you're getting an estimated 75% of line speed on shaped services (as well as 100% on realtime services). An "abuser" would be heavily shaped down to 12.5/6.25% at least :)
