If I change from an Uncapped 4MB ADSL bundle to a Business Uncapped 4MB ADSL bundle today, when will I be billed the difference?
Depends on the billing method, but the pro-rata billing will go through today
The shaping changes are midnight, latest.
Now is.....not a good time to be in this thread. Flee!
Also you said you looking for capped products, you're in the uncapped section. Go to this: http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php/473778-Afrihost-CAPPED-ADSL-Feedback-(MTN)
Are non-realtime services NEVER shaped on business? Even with testing?

Just a quick question regarding your shaping / throttling / whatever-you-call-it.
I stream quite a lot of live content from international sites via my iPad to my Apple TV. Would this be throttled or shaped with your 2MB uncapped line?
Thank you...
would switching to a business account result in shaping/throttling during the day as well while you "test"
Nope, we don't shape on Business. Period.
So i will get full download speeds 24/7? So what you saying is that I will download more data on a 2mb (maybe even a 1mb) on a business uncapped account then on a home 4mb uncapped account? cause on the home it is restricted to 10kbs for 15hours a day?
Streaming sites are generally unshaped, but it depends how the site has the streams constructed.
Which sites do you stream from?

Add Hulu to that list.
And Netflix buffering is no joke. It will normally soldier on, even on 240p.
This weekend, not a chance.
A lot of our clients have seen really good results with Netflix, we can't guarantee the experience though
This is due to their country restrictions and the workarounds.
