If I change from an Uncapped 4MB ADSL bundle to a Business Uncapped 4MB ADSL bundle today, when will I be billed the difference?

Depends on the billing method, but the pro-rata billing will go through today :)
The shaping changes are midnight, latest.

Are non-realtime services NEVER shaped on business? Even with testing?
 
Just a quick question regarding your shaping / throttling / whatever-you-call-it.

I stream quite a lot of live content from international sites via my iPad to my Apple TV. Would this be throttled or shaped with your 2MB uncapped line?

would switching to a business account result in shaping/throttling during the day as well while you "test"

Streaming sites are generally unshaped, but it depends how the site has the streams constructed.
Which sites do you stream from?

So i will get full download speeds 24/7? So what you saying is that I will download more data on a 2mb (maybe even a 1mb) on a business uncapped account then on a home 4mb uncapped account? cause on the home it is restricted to 10kbs for 15hours a day?

It depends on your needs and how much you need to download :) We've got a lot of users who use plenty data per month on our Uncapped account, even with shaping there.

Yes exactly that, and Afrihost will make R100 less per month out of you per month, which is why the system is broken
 
NetFlix and Hulu are ok, but it isn't constant HD and it drops a lot. This is my experience on the home uncapped and the business uncapped accounts.

On the 1Gb free offer it works flawlessly.

I'm currently with Mweb 1MB Premium and looking to upgrade. Must admit though, my Netflix over the weekend managed to be kinda fast and even made 480p quality! :p

Afrihost does not do the 1-week trial or even a 1 day trial account to test the speeds do they?

You mean a lot of your clients on Business Uncapped or maybe Capped.
Not a snowball in hell that your Uncapped customers can ever claim a good experience.
I've been using it for a year on your network, never a predictable, smooth experience.

Web Africa - streaming at 1080p, no problem. True story.
