ok, my rough calcs below...shows me that on 2mbs business I will get more per month then 4mb uncapped home (which is double the connection....) Just doesnt make sence. can you please move my account over to 2mbs business with imediate effect as i would like to test this.

oh btw, i transfer information packes between sites all the time, therefore consistant dl speeds is essential to me

They only give away free 1GB accounts, but the different between capped and uncapped is night and day.
Stay away from uncapped!

Easier said then done....500gb on capped is extremely expensive!

I know, its a thearetical scenario as if there is a lag on home uncapped there will be on business as well, influencing both accounts.

Again, different accounts for different needs :) If you want to download 24/7 then Capped/ Business is for you.
If you'd like to give it a shot you can upgrade via the ClientZone.

VividWeb

They haven't launched yet (I'll be with them from 1 Aug when they launch) officially.
They've got their own IPC link and their own backbone.

Their backup network is via Web Africa, without the throttling.
Sounds quite promising.

Yeah the logic astounds me. To get full benefit from my line after hours, I need to upgrade to a business account.

Turbocharge was definitely not designed for IPC issues, it was specifically to offer a middle ground for clients who preferred the Uncapped product in general but every so often want to be unshaped - whether it's for torrents, downloads, or just to run multiple services for a specific time.

I don't believe this an up-sell. The reality is that Uncapped is a semi-shaped product and we need to find a balance between shaping in order to protect the network and providing a good experience for each individual client's needs. We can't infinitely upgrade our IPC, because there is a limit to our resources. Since clients are continually demanding more bandwidth, for whatever purposes, we have to make a call on what services to prioritise and what services to de-prioritise (shape) in order to provide the best overall experience. The reason we're testing as we are is becuase we're trying to determine how we can stack that in our clients favour without jeopardising the overall experience our clients have, on Uncapped, Business and Capped. It all really comes down to what suits your needs best and where each person finds the balance between their budget and their internet needs.
