Http dl from soundcloud is going at 50k/bs aswell as p2p and im on bus uncapped at night it seems to pick up the pace maybe its my line i dunno :/ its only been the past 2-3 days tho

Nope, using paid service, never had a problem with slow speeds from them

I'm more concerned about the speedtest, 1ms ping looks a bit strange :confused:
The down speed is not what I'm used to :p

Decided to run it twice my line or AH seems jumpy

Your average ping was 10ms
Your maximum ping was 38ms

Looking at your average ping, your line seems to be running perfectly :-)
Looking at your maximum ping, however, it seems as though there could be a sligh

It seems that your maximum ping is also good. If there are any issues, they most
probably lie with your ISP :-(

I have the exact same issue at the moment, usually 400kb/s but now maximum is 240kb/s and it has nothing to do with shaping. My shaping is at 18.8% Download/ 6.25% P2P but that doesn't make sense because 240 has nothing to do with that. I have never had a problem with it before until a few days ago. When i used the turbocharge it went to 400kb/s again so it's some really weird shaping going on.

Seriously Afriguy?
It is 12.5% HTTP download and 6.25% P2P download. Also I have the feeling that usually the 4Meg lines get shaped to 18.5% but if you have a 10Meg line its usually 12.5% (I have never seen 18.5%).

@Arksun: In terms of "But what is it like in general?" In the last 6 months (except March) I got shaped to 12.5% / 6.25% on 5 out of 7 days between ~5pm and 1am (my preferred online times).
Also, think about the impact: I can't even browse through a gallery with high resolution pics (but I can watch HD Youtube?) nor can I play Elder Scrolls Online because Afrihost detects the network code as P2P (answer from customer service was basically "yeah - we are not gonna do anything about that one").

I cancelled my home uncapped account.

I'm battling with my torrents atm. fully unshaped but its not reflecting on my torrents.

1h20m gone and only 92 megs downloaded at an avg on 20 k/b
 
Okay, so after a port reset speedtest upto 3.5Mbps again

However, NNTP looks like it is shaped at about the 200kb/s mark. Used to go at about 420kb/s

Green line is NNTP only, blue line is NNTP plus a youtube video,
One can clearly see that the line/account can go faster
 
@Afrihost, One quick question, lets theoretically say every one on AH suddenly switched to a business account and started to max their line speed on downloading. Would the network slowdown to a snails pace?

still downloading the same file. any idea why I'm unshaped and my torrents are dead?

and it's not just that torrent, I've tried a few others and they all are dead....

EDIT: speed test and browsing is 100% perfect.

It's odd that NNTP is not being included in your shaped services, it definitely should. So something weird going on here anyway. It could be that ClientZone isn't displaying the correct info - there have been a few rollouts of updates recently so it could be there :(
