Yup, if you look at their network status most of the issues seem like authentication, which makes me paranoid.

My pc is connected via ethernet and everything works fine without needing to dial up so it just uses the router account, i can dialup another account but only when the router account is authenticated.

Your people have lied to me, asked before I signed up if the south was upgraded. Answer I got was yes, so I signed up. Turns out it hasn't and real time protocols are not running full speed as promised. As soon as the download and p2p shaping kicks in then my streaming goes to crap.

Its not the exchange because if I switch to my backup uncapped account streaming goes back to normal. Been with you for a few days, canceling today.

The IPC in the South was upgraded, but only partially. So this did relieve a lot of the symptoms we were seeing, but as usage increased those symptoms slowly crept back. We are still waiting for the balance of the upgrade to be delivered so that we can manage the network as we envision.
 
btw, 5GB NNTP download just finished at 895KB/sec.

Things looking good again in the north.
 
So what happened yesterday? my internet was off most the night and I can't find one post saying what was wrong? :mad:

Sorry about that. I did post to say we were having authentication problems. We also had something on our website - but I guess if you weren't able to get online you may not have seen it :(
 
Hulu on 20Mb Afrihost account is worse than ever in Durban. NZB gets line speed, but Hulu looks like Lego blocks.

I just don't know why every other ISP can get Hulu right except Afrihost.
