so i've complained about this for weeks and twitter keeps saying its not.
tonight it happened again where a youtube video is buffering @ 70kb/s and our international traffic was very very slow. we then used the turbocharge and boom everything is fine again.
current IP : 105.210.**.** - pm for ip/account name
was shaped lets say around 8:10 - 20 getting 70Kbps on youtube on 144p video
turbocharged lets say around 8:30- 35 ish - getting 7815Kbps on same video after turbocharge kicked in
if you guys tell me again how you don't f*#&$ shape youtube i swear I'm going to lose it.
been 5 flipping weeks that I have been complaining about it.
Is something up? Downloads at a standstill, Youtube the same. Activated Turbocharge and the downloads have started but jumping from 2kbps to 200kbps constantly and Youtube is still struggling.

Nope, I switched to a capped account (WA) and getting 887kbps, just seems my AH is stuffed atm. Well, it's being used for sport streaming and doing ok.
May you please clear all your cookies from your browsers then make sure you have Windows Auto-updates
are turned off.
May you please also clear your browsing history and cache, followed by flushing your DNS in command prompt.
To flush DNS please
>Go to command prompt
>type ipconfig /flushdns
>click enter
Once all has been done please restart your computer and restart your router.
If this problem persists, may you please contact Telkom to test your line as we do not
manage your DSL line.
Why is support still suggesting 30 colours of BS for an issue?
Yes cookies and DNS flushing is going to resolve packet loss between the exchange and it's next hop clearly
My download speed is 100kbps at the moment even though my ClientZone says "No Shaping". It's been like this for the past two weeks. I'm really starting to doubt that Afrihost is the company that I can use in the future. Time to try an alternative ISP.
EDIT: 10 minutes later, I'm switched over to Web Africa and I've got much faster internet. And all I did was change my internet access details on my router.
I don't know the whole history of the query and what results were submitted but a DNS flush has been known to help.It shouldn't be a hail mary. It depends on what the agent thought was the cause of the problem.
What were the results you submitted in the ticket?
I'll eat my hat if a DNS flush or cookie clearing helps negate packet loss from the exchange to my test IP of 8.8.8.8but further testing indicates an issue at the line and up,rather than account at least
The issue has been reported to Telkom so now awaiting their assistance

No problem, line issues can be problematic to locate, please let me know if I can assist in anyway.
They finally sent a tech to check exchange yesterday but he seemed to have given up. A stern reminder to them to resolve this might help
Anyone know whats happening with afrihost.co.za? Says the site is down.
Nevermind ,seems its back up.
Afrihost.com
your email/username is .co.za
Think they just redirect you to .com from .co.za or is it a different site Afripeps?
soo is afrihost still shaping games ?

and its not only on dota Diablo 3 also struggels, and HOTS you can't even try to play, and no its not my line/router/pots fillters etc etc etc don't give me the generic ****ty answers your tier 1 support gives.
I've been complaining for a while and then it goes away and returns etc etc etc, ever since that major routing firmware issue you guys had.
