And I assume you are working so that it doesn't happen again?

You don't give us full speed all the time so the one thing customers on Standard Uncapped expect is stable ping and no packet loss.

We are indeed, we're pushing through some massive improvements and tweaks.

Games on MTN network still unplayable. Ping seems fine intially, then jumps around so much you can't do squat. Timeout follows and the kick!

I'm assuming Youtube (even loading the Afrihost site) running at exactly half my line speed, is down to the service warning shown on the Afrihost site?

It may be, we'll need to run some tests to determine that though. I'm able to stream OK at the moment.

Started doing some testing by changing accounts and what not. Started with AfriUncapped. Other accounts got full speed in Chrome and IE.

Then decided to check AfriUncapped again.

Full speed. What can cause an issue like this? Router got muddled for a bit? Weird authorising with the AfriShaper?

It could be a number of things, I'll need to check latency on your account as well as throughput itself to YouTube.

So what does this mean for line speed? Bad pings, low line usage. Better pings, full line usage. I'm assuming it's the performance issues you guys have reported then.

It does sound like it, although it's a bit odd that changing around accounts seems to normalise things.
