Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Much better from last night around midnight. Seems to have slowed down again around 20 minutes ago, but speed gaining again.

Whatever you guys did last night, Afrihost, it seems to have made a difference for me (at least). Looks like you guys are on the right track... Don't let me distract you, back to the war room with you... off you go... keep on it, and all that.

2Mbps uncapped account

Download Speed: 1276 kbps (159.5 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 406 kbps (50.8 KB/sec transfer rate)
Latency: 53 ms

http://www.speedtest.net/result/2298206815.png

This is the best result I've gotten as of yet. My speeds usually hover round about 40KB/s. Torrents also weren't bad last night. 2GB steam update didn't take forever either. So things are better than before. Not great but better. Lets see what happens after the dreaded 7PM time zone.

Pings are better today but overall speed is not running at max. Getting 375KB/s on 4Mbps uncapped

You're joking right? pings are f'ing terrible today the pipes so f'ing unstable its unreal.

Wow, torrents being throttled to oblivion. 5kB/s, change gateways, 200+kB/s. Same torrent, suspect NZB same result. Next move is to tunnel and see how it goes .....

Afrihost has truley ****ed up with their "world" class service.

Hope they fix it soon otherwise this thread might set a new record for the most number of posts and replies and the longest running thread. This is worst than the first Seacom outage :-)

This is the biggest tech booboo of the year; worse than Windows 8. Maybe we must do what South African's do best, joke about it as it ain't getting fixed.

How exactly was windows 8 a stuff up? Im running it perfectly fine without any issues?

This joke of an ISP on the other hand, yet claim to be attending to the issue its been almost two weeks and its still exactly the same and actually getting worse. Gaming has become pretty much useless on these accounts which almost cost a grand. But dont worry you can browse fine still YAY.

Wow you have a stable ping for once congrads. But like this thread shows not everyone does, and when some people do others dont. Its unstable. 2000ms in wow at the moment. my friends open web 198ms.

well, that is the thing. Beginning to think it is related to area/city. From PTA to about everywhere it is fine. From where do you hail ?

D3 on the other hand, I just had DCs so far. TSW and RIFT was fine.

Max download on my 4mbit line is now 170 kB/s its throttled.

Today has been fairly OK for me. VoIP worked again, as did gaming. Unlike yesterday, where both were 100% unusable and I was throttled to 512kbps. However, at 15:15 things went completely pear shaped again. 50% packet loss to anything overseas.
