My 8GB BF3 download is now taking 3 days so far.
Should be done in about 2 hours. Average download speed was about 30KB/s on 4MB line.

No offence, but if your intention is to shape people into the ground when they have average download requirements, then I don't think you're changing it for the better.
You might be making great advances by providing cheap uncapped for 'moms and pops,' but other ISPs seem to be beating you in the race to providing sustainable 'true' uncapped.
Loving the speeds to nyt......4mb line --> 120kb/s download speeds
I see so many IT companies recommending businesses purchase uncapped ADSL but they only using on average 50 100 GB of data why not stick to normal capped accounts and get the best performance?
Don't get me wrong in certain circumstances uncapped account are great but there are many scenarios where capped accounts will serve the clients needs better.
Would be interested to get other peoples thoughts on this?

And having now been given a peek at the future, I can say it's nothing short of amazing.
What I've been told exceed my expectations, and I think it's going to blow your minds too.
Hi Afriman.
Thanks for the feedback.
I hope it really is everything you are promising but you would have to excuse me for not jumping up and down with joy.
These are the exact same promises made just before the initial move away from IS and you know how that turned out.
Is the ETA for this uber upgrade still Feb?
OK, first off, I belive give credit where it is due. Afrihost finally did contact me yesterday and a lot of port resets and whatnots were done, in the end it really looked like a Telkom stuffup. So a call was logged with Telkom. This morning Telkom calls - they sorted some issue they had since yesterday late - I tested and all is working again.
So kudos to Afrihost, thanks and well done.
On a more negative note though - I am looking at going uncapped from next year(been with Afrihost capped for about 3 years now), and from the feedback on this thread, I just cannot see myself staying with Afrihost for my uncapped needs. I am looking at MWEB uncapped and have had very positive recommendations for them.
So @AfriMan - tell me honestly please, will the Afrihost uncapped offerings be the same or better than MWEB from Jan 2013, or will the current whoes continue? Thanks.
Well the website is showing network problems. Network Status.
I'm having high latency and slow speeds accross the board, nothing is good at the moment.
