Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Why not sign up a Free GB account, and give it a try. Real time services are not shaped and should be consistent whether you're on Capped or Uncapped :)

I play on the EU servers with around 160ms and the USA servers on average 190ms - Oceanic a bit slower on 215ms
 
Does Arihost impose any restrictions (or the use) on VPN, SSL, SFTP, SSTP and SSH?
 
I have noticed a slight increase in latency to WoW Eu over the past few days..was getting around 180ms but now on average 230ms.
 
Anyone else getting high latency today? Mine is all over the place:(

We manage the line, but our ability to effect changes on the exchange is very limited. This falls under a separate Telkom department who determine the ETA in terms of available budget and resources. We can definitely log the issue with Telkom, but if they already know the exchange, best we can get is their estimated ETA to upgrade.

Drop me a PM, so I can ask our guys to get feedback on the exchange :(

Sorry but you will have to fight Telkom with that, a hard and long bitter battle :( took me three months and others on these forums years
 
Something funny is going on. I cant tracert anything (it just stars out), but my speeds are fine. However, my upload speed isnt great?

Afriman can you get your peeps to check on Planetside 2 and if it is shaped. I was playing last night and noticed insane lag. Checked client zone and I was shaped to 25% so applied a turbocharge and the lag was instantly gone. After a while I got the lag again and checked the client zone and yip, the turbocharge was finished so lag was back

I know you guys dont shape games but maybe someone got something wrong for PS2 as I dont get this on battlefield 3.

It all depends on how the gaming traffic is being "signed" as we shape by packet signature, not by port or protocol.

We'll need traces to a server to analyse. Can you PM me?
 
I log over to the 1gig Free when Planetside gets shaped to crap hehe
