Check prior messages re: notification on web site, there was a major discussion about this, you will see that if it is a major outage affecting everybody only then will a notice be placed there AND only by management. Not the local call centre guy!
 
Not able to authenticate. But works fine with a WebAfrica pre-paid. Anyone else having problems with authentication?
 
Afrihost not authenticating for me either. Using 3G atm. This is the third consecutive day of intermittent connectivity and regular router reboots. Combined with the poor streaming performance for the last month or so, I'm seriously unimpressed.
 
Not according to their network status:

But i guess if no-one can use their network, it will certainly be in great shape.
 
Question, how good is Afrihost Uncapped with Hulu Plus and Netflix? I wanna move over or at least try it out. Also, would I get 4Mbps speeds even if my line syncs higher than that?

Netflix works perfectly for me with a 4Mbps account connecting with a Apple TV

If you are on a Uncapped account, it's rate limited to the product you've opted for. However, capped accounts will perform at your line's full potential.

Problem is Netflix eats bandwidth so an uncapped account would make sense.

I am under the impression that 4Mps has been replaced with 10Mps and your line goes as high as it can with 10Mbps being the limit. The rest as stated by Afriman :-} Correct me if wrong :-)

Some exchanges are having 4Mbps cards replaced with 10Mbps, but remember there is your local distribution point and the exchange, and both have to be 10Mbps enabled. If either one is a lesser value, you'll still be on 4Mbps for now
