Hey Guys
I was replying to your PM's last night until my router decided to die! He was a good router, but that last Linux distro just took it's toll :(

Will get to all your messages during the course of the day :)

So the rage trial account is still appearing on my clientzone page - does this mean it still works?

So the rage trial account is still appearing on my clientzone page - does this mean it still works?

I'm still using mine, but I've been connected for over 48 hours now. I have no idea if it will work if I try to reconnect now, and I am not going to try it :P

Can someone in JHB/PTA please paste a traceroute to www.google.com and www.hetzner.de ?

Don't get me wrong. I'm very impressed with the speeds that I'm getting. I'm running at 8.528mbps constantly. That's around about 3.8GB per hour.

It would've been even better if I could get full speed (10mbps). Then I would get 4.5GB per hour. It really does make a difference in the long run.

But I'm not complaining at all. Afrihost did the best thing they ever could have done.

CONGRATULATIONS AFRIHOST!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hmm... that begs the question of whether the CPT IPC is actually going to make much of a difference? My traceroutes from CPT using MTN:

Not much of a difference to what you're getting from JHB - when compared with what I'm used to getting on MWEB or, when IS's CPT routing is working, IS - around 60ms below this.

On the MTN network and tested last night after work, muuuuuch better.

The stability is almost flatlined when running a couple of speedtests!

Definitely getting the money worth :D

Way to go Afrihost!

What are you downloading? How long is the long run? Are you a hoarder? Can I base a reality tv show on you? :p

What account (s)?
Who do you pay for the line rental?

Wish i can say the same, but for me it's way slower than what it was, i get better speeds with MWEB, i made a thread as well with speedtest.

http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthr...ped-Latency-problems-on-the-new-network-(MTN)

Ah that sucks man... I had consistent issues with my line before the move, and for some reason always on Sundays, but will check again this Sunday.

Also noticed my ping increased with about 10 - 15 now (averaging between 45 and 60 now), but I've had way worse.
