Not bad pricing, can anyone vouch for them?

Of course I can understand the feeling of wanting to change ISP's. Plugg is an IS direct to consumer service. We can't say anything bad about them, they are still our hosting partners and we continue to work with them.

What I can say is that we have big plans. While some people on this thread have said things to the effect that we are going down the tubes and it's the end of Afrihost - the truth is the opposite. We're continuing to grow, and we've already applied to install additional IPC in JHB, CPT and DBN. Eventually we'll have more capacity than any of our competitors, and we are confident we'll eventually have the best service in the country.

We get held up to a very high standard and when the dust settles we believe we'll still stand out due to our commitment to an ideal of doing things differently. We still have a lot of other plans in terms of pricing, promotions, competitions and incentives that we'll roll out to our clients, and we hope that most of you will stick around for those. For those that really can't, it's OK, you can join us again later when the bad weather clears. We're not going anywhere, that is a promise :)

I dont wish bad vibes on any ISP, i however do get severely pissed off spending almost a grand on an account and getting extremely poor service.

So basically i want to know has this QoS'ing/Shaping/Policies. Whatever you want to call them been resolved or tonight are us gamers going to be in for another surprise shocking local latency

Mine's broken now too :(

Where can one buy some reasonably priced b/w? Is the Afrihost capped b/w working, as in if I buy some of that will it work or it also broken?

I really feel for you Afriman it must be k@k trying to put out all these fires, & having to deal with these issues, but its even worse for us the guys paying for a service & not getting what were expecting, end-users aren't interested in the issues behind the scene were just interested in getting home logging into our preferred game & unwinding after a k@k day at work, 2 weeks is a lot to take, consumers are very fickle.

Once your not happy with something your going to complain, to give you an idea we have 3 accounts from Afrihost a 1mb uncapped, 2mb uncapped & a capped 120gb(10mb). All 3 are on different locations & all 3 performed the same, it was really not enjoyable.
I could hardly play online at night, I had no issues before the change over, but after the change I was one of the unfortunate few that had major latency issues.

Not to go into much details I started to shop around & after the internet went pear-shaped lunch-time today I decided to make the move to a different provider. I really hope you get this sorted as my stay before the change over was very good, never had an issue with your service but I cant help test the network thus I decided to move, since then my latency has dropped by a third. I will periodically test your service with my 1gb free account & hopefully when your service is on par I will come back. All the best.

Speeds basically crap all afternoon.
Have to pause and buffer YouTube videos, 360p.
This is not okay for a 4Mbps line.

Using the MyBB Speed test I get 2.2Mbps Download for local and 0.8Mbps download for international....

What is going on? Really getting tired of the inconsistency

This is shocking from Afrihost!
Was downloading Windows 8 upgrade, was taking forever on Afrihost, switched to FNBConnect, paid R50 for 2 Gigs. Downloaded in 30 mins.

Is it time to explore other ISPs?

My debit order came off at full speed last night. Absolute bull**** that we must pay full price while Afrihost go through their little teething period. That's why the network was tested before the launch. I remember Afriman bragging that the network was only at 70% capacity. Wtf went wrong from then till now?

MY INTERNET HAS BEEN UNUSABLE FOR 3 DAYS NOW!
