Afrihost Uncapped ADSL Feedback

Do these issues only affect uncapped accounts?

I am collecting BLOPS2 at midnight and am stressing I am going to have issues.
If capped is fine them I will top up my prepaid quickly and use that at midnight.

Easy spot via netlimiter... speedtest is using multi threads and testmy just one.

Getting 100Kbps from Astraweb on my 4Mbps line.

So 4mb lines are limited to 100kbps
and 2mb lines to 60kbps
that leaves 1mb lines at 30kbps?

So effectively they have reversed internet back to 2005 when your options was 1mb, 512k and 386k

Yet i cant download faster than 15kbps , is Afrihost trying to shape everything except speedtest?

Ive got a file to download overnight for work so ive now had to fork out more money for a capped account, unacceptable from Afrihost.
 
Seriously...

This is getting ridiculous now. AfriHost is really starting to p**s me off. Normally I'm understanding, but this is getting way out of control now. If a problem like this persisted in the corporate I work for, people would be fired by now. Giaan, do something, PLEASE. Surely you are starting to see your numbers dwindle by now? I don't want to jump ship, because I'm sure you guys will get it sorted. Well, either that or you are watching your company fizzle out and maybe die.

Brand damage like this is HARD to fix.

Also, no feedback to customers is just simply NOT ok. Dedicate someone to keep the community abreast of what's happening. No promises, just what you are doing, what's the next steps, and a timeline of when things are going to be changed, etc. Few things are worse than being kept in the dark while a service you pay for is not working.
 
Afrihost has a 60 day double your money back guarantee. Are they crazy? They must be sobbing by now.

Looks like the afrihost guys vanished off mybb. They no longer post on their Facebook wall and no longer respond to wall posts either.
