Can someone please get a voting poll up to see how many PPL are still around and who left and who are leaving.

maybe this will give afrihost a indication of how serious this is.

I am sure Afrihost are well aware of how many people Cancel/Join each day/month.
If you have any specific issues PM AfriMan directly - he is VERY helpful in sorting out any issues. :)

I’m tired asking for help, Support tickets coming back we are aware that gaming/downloads is not ideal on our uncapped account currently.
Every time there are different stories. Still having a problem they told me it’s your line.

They lost 3 accounts.

Mine (was about the sign up , stopped), my parent's (Cancelled last night) and my brother said his account is slow. So Sunday is another acc cancelled.

The throttling is just insane. And this was on 30Gig for the month so far...

Apparently there are a different set of rules on the normal uncapped and business uncapped products. Also, it seems that they are changing the rules, but no one can tell me what they are changing it to.

On the old rules, the normal uncapped had an approximate limit, after which they start throttling the account. This was measured over a rolling 30 day period.

Again on the old rules, for the business uncapped, they apply a similar principle, but with a different limit and over a shorter period of time, which was a rolling 7 day period. On the business uncapped, it was almost immaterial, because at full speed 24/7 you would battle to reach the limit.

I have just cancelled my normal uncapped with them, because the limit over a rolling 30 day period does not suit me. I will probably give their business uncapped a try, but again I would like to know the rules.

I've also been told that the rules are changing, and it would be good if people knew the rules so when the rules are applied, there is no reason to complain about bad service. At the moment, it's very undefined and hence I would expect people to complain like hell. I'll probably join the queue.

I've tried support tickets, and the answer I got back was totally unrelated to the question. The best bet is AfriMan on this forum - he / she :) has been most helpful.

They are moving away from a rolling window/throttling policy to a shaping policy more like Mweb

PM AfriMan - do not use support tickets - have not had the need to submit a support ticket - AfriMan WILL sort out the issue or at least try his absolute BEST to sort out the issue...REALLY HE DOES!

I understand why the OP might have opened this thread, but to be honest, it's not the best way to get help. I see several people here posting who are not satisfied with merely moving away from us, they want to prove to you that Afrihost is going to fall over. But that's everyone's choice of how they choose to spend their time. Running a poll where most of the participants are ex-clients is just not going to make your internet work better.

At the end of the day, we're here to help you. You're always welcome to drop me a PM, I'll help or I'll make sure you get put onto someone who can.

Just saying :)
