Afrihost Voice launch date announced

First support call:

Client: "My voice calls won't go through."
Afrihost support "expert": "Have you done a speedtest yet?"

Ah data for x days.. cool but i want data pool for my devices so i don't need to have each one on a different account :(

I am just curious about this running on the MTN network - what happens if they (MTN) start trying to manage VOIP traffic like WhatsApp - would Afrihost customers then also be affected?

If MTN does start interfering with VOIP, then it wont matter because Afrihost calls will be normal calls going through the network, not VOIP protocol

As I see it, this is a way to make their data product easier to reach. Currently most people need either an MTN contract or a dual sim phone.

I meant will MTN data controls apply to Afrihost LTE/3G data packages?

Their data product aint that revolutionary anymore from what I understand.

True, but it is still much better priced than any offer from eMpTyN and Vodacon, and they are month to month.

Their interface for product management (Clientzone) and customer service (the people they employ are usually able to communicate back), makes Afrihost the best choice in my book. MTN's network, however seems to be going downhill. This is something Afrihost should always be monitoring.
