Afrihost vs Mweb

Guys, Afrihost does not have their own network, they are IS resellers. Whatever shaping gets done, gets done by IS.

I worry about afrihost allowing p2p during the day, surely that is going to strain something.

Mweb is flying this morning as usual.

Posted this in the Afrihost feedback page and got nothing, so will just let you guys know here.

Both accounts used are with Afrihost

Getting some bad local pings with the uncapped account.
And i didn't even post the Speedtest results to New York, over 700ms and less than 50kB/s :-/

I am with mweb and also got bad local pings, international is fine hey. 330 to google which is normal. 107 average to local is not cool :D.

Such nonsense.
Now i am going to have to keep switching accounts for when i want to play online :-/

Im sorry to contradict.
We found out this morning how the system differentiates. It is now possible for IS resellers to change the service levels and speed for any of their clients 'on the fly'.

We have currently decided not to resell this product as we believe it should be the Tier 1 provider's responsibility to provide a best case service 24/7.

Therefore, we will continue to sell the IS Uncapped Basic shaped product which seems to be giving amazing results so far.
