Did anybody else get stiffed with their double anytime data this month with Afrihost? I've got a 50GB capped package, and as far as I know we're supposed to get double our data until 30 September 2014. My account just shows the normal amount of 50GB. Anybody know what's going on?

Who told you that you were getting double data until September?

Found this:
Afrihost Doubles Your Unshaped Capped GBs

It has become a tradition at Afrihost to reward clients with more data than they can imagine, at a price that's difficult to fathom. In 2013, we stunned the Broadband market by offering our unshaped, anytime Capped GBs for as little as R4 per GB and now we are happy to announce that our Capped DSL will be available from as little as R2 per GB. In effect, we will be slashing our already impressive prices by 50%. And there are no limitations on this extra data.

It is available for use at any time of the day or night - which means you do not need to schedule your internet habits around your ISP's schedule. On top of this all Capped GBs will continue to be completely Unshaped. This means that Capped clients will get the best quality GBs available, no matter what they are doing with them, at the fastest speed their Telkom line and exchange can deliver them. Standard with all Capped DSL packages, clients can run up to 10 concurrent connections with their data meaning that they will be able to share it with friends and family - there is a lot of data after all!

All Capped Data packages (excluding Bundles) will be doubled and are available immediately for new signups. All existing Capped Data clients will automatically be given double their GBs from the 1st of April. The Double GB promotion will run until 30 September, at which time the offer will be revised or extended.

Mine shows an extra line in the Android app, which doubles my data.

I've got nothing extra showing in the clientzone or the mobile app nor do my parents' account so it's not just me.

Is your line with Afrihost?
If so, the special clearly states "(excluding Bundles)", that is to say, data-only capped accounts get doubled :(

Doh! My line is indeed with Afrihost. Should have read the fine print! Oh well, at least topups are only R5 per GB. Still pretty awesome.

Also have 50GB capped account, in the client it shows the 50GB account, with the bandwidth remaining at 95GB......

Got my double data :p

Eeek forgot about the double data, thanks for reminding.

.. gonna have to find some nice linux iso's ...

Spoke to Afrihost, if you have a bundle with them i.e. 50 gig with line then you do not qualify for the additional data, but if your account is unbundled you qualify the additional data. I may seem ignorant but I do not understand the difference as with the bundled account you pay for the line and data with Afrihost, but if you unbundle you still pay for the line and data at Afrihost but you then receive the extra data as well. What is the difference?

Price. If you unbundle you pay more overall. A 10Mb line with Afrihost is R399 per month, the 50GB data package with an additional 50GB "free" is R199, a total of R598.

If you take out a bundle of a 10Mb line and 50GB data together it's R497 for the bundle.

True, but a 100Gb (which is what you get with 50+50) bundle is R697, therefore R99 cheaper to have line+data with Afrihost rather than a bundled package. Subsequently I've contacted Afrihost this afternoon and asked them to rather charge me for this instead. Someone there is not very good at maths...

Bundled clients don't get double data :-(

However, it seems that they will be releasing a bundled client promotion soon :-)
