Afrihost, where's my double anytime data?

Bundled users are getting shafted until a new offer is announced. Simple. The math proves this.

What the math also proves is that Afrihost is oversubscribed, tickets as to why capped accounts - that used to be awesome and fly - are being throttled/managed go unanswered or are deliberately fobbed off with "oh please send more test results/did you send results/we can't find what you sent/we'll reset your port/<insert generic oh we're sorry and will look into that for you reply here, [infinite loop]" responses.

Hulu and Netflix have nose dived, as have other "real time" services.

This is the state of Afrihost currently. Funnily enought 4 of my friends dotted around the country, also tech savvy, have reported the same if not worse on their AH capped accounts. Uncapped seems even worse.

Lets hope the extra capacity solves the degradation soon, because AH used to be awesome.

Like RoadKill says, the bundled accounts not getting the extra beats me why ?
You only saving approx R20 for AH to handle your line.
Dump your bundled account, give the line back to Telkom, pay the extra R20 and get another 50 GB :)

I think Telkom congestion is more to blame here as it seems most people in cities are having this problem.
My AH capped account flies at maximum speed 24/7 and a lot of my downloads are p2p.

Does not make sense, what is the incentive to have a bundle. I did it for the convenience, but now going to unbundle to get extra gigs. Much much cheaper than staying with bundle and buying extra gigs when needed.

Then why are Axxess and WebAfrica flying and AH not ?

Sorry, that's not the reason.

So, let me just double check the current Afrihost pricing logic:

150gb data (stand alone) + 10meg line (stand alone) = R698

100gb data + 10meg line (bundle) - R697.

Lose out on 50gb of data, take the bundle.

Hmmmm.

Throw in capacity problems in the Cape and I'm not enjoying this new experience.

so capped accounts are now also being shapped? are they aloud to do this?..

Or "managed" as there is not enough capacity to go around ... and priority given to "real time" services.

Great...just as i suggested a capped afrihost account to a friend. And this friend makes a lot of p2p downloading, primarily actually. Would be better to go with mweb uncapped 2mb (70GB soft cap)?
Any idea on how much they "manage" the afrihost capped accounts?

It depends where you friend lives.
I have a 50+50 GB capped account with AH and 75% of my downloads are p2p and I have no problems what so ever, day or night.
I came from Mweb Premium uncapped (January) and that sucked big time with p2p even at 3 am.
